 MacCarthys Pub

|
MacCarthy's Pub is located at Goat Street, Dingle, Co.
Kerry. The Pub has been in the MacCarthy family since the early 1800's. It has
proved popular as a social establishment since that time and still maintains
it's original charm. The Pub interior has changed through the years as some of
our images show, while on the outside only the colours have
changed.

| MacCarthy's Pub is Dingle's Best Venue with the finest
of music and drama on show. The mini- theatre at the rear of the pub has staged
some of Ireland's great acts. Stars like Sharon Shannon, Paddy Casey and Glen
Hansard have recently played great nights in MacCarthy's. The cosy theatre
holds in both the music and the atmosphere, as the musicians play away in the
midst of the crowd. It is a truly special experience. |
But MacCarthy's also plays it's role in the community. It is a
meeting place for the local committees for the Dingle Races and the Goat Street
Wren. Our local TD, Minister for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Mr. John O'Donoghue,
holds his monthly clinic by the fireplace in MacCarthy's Backroom.
